BEIJING — This was supposed to be one of the tough ones?
He didn’t feel so well.
He had “these cold chills” before the race.
So all Michael Phelps did was to go out and set a world record to win his first gold medal of the 2008 Olympic Games.
One down; seven to go.
It just does not seem fair.
Phelps crushed in the butterfly, seemingly relaxed in the backstroke and turned it on during the breaststroke (his worst technical stroke).
Finally, he absolutely ripped through the water, and the competition in the freestyle.
It was a dazzling performance
